The interest rate for our Variable Rate IRA Savings Account is 2.02% with an annual percentage yield of 2.00%. Your interest rate and annual percentage yield may change during the life of the account. Your interest rate and annual percentage yield may change. At our discretion we may change the interest rate on your account at any time. Non-variable IRA Saving Accounts will the the same term and interest rate as fixed rate Certificate of Deposits.
MINIMUM BALANCE REQUIREMENT:
A $500.00 opening deposit is required.
BALANCE COMPUTATION METHOD:
We will use the daily balance method to calculate the interest on your IRA Savings Account. This method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal balance of your IRA Savings Account for each calendar day.
COMPOUNDING AND CREDITING:
Interest will be compounded and credited to your account quarterly on the last day of your statement cycle.
If you close your account before interest is credited, you will not receive the accrued interest.
ACCRUAL OF INTEREST ON DEPOSITS OTHER THAN CASH:
Interest begins to accrue on the business day you deposit non-cash items (for example, checks).
After your IRA Savings Account is opened, you may make additional deposits to the account and you may make early withdrawals, but you will be subject to the early withdrawal penalty described below.
EARLY WITHDRAWAL PENALTY:
There is no penalty for the early withdrawal of funds from IRA Savings upon the death of the depositor or when the depositor attains the age of 59 1/2 years, is disabled according to the Internal Revenue Code or is legally declared incompetent by a court or other administrative body. However, the IRS will impose substantial penalties for each early withdrawal not described above.
